Dewey Decimal Delight

A true testament to the design powers that be at MJSE! After presenting a few custom color schemes to our dynamic scientist duo (yes, they are both scientists!), our book-loving couple chose a gorgeous and clean burnt orange, crisp blue and off-white palette. Since the wedding location was none other than the Los Angeles Public Library (double yay!), we HAD to incorporate all of the appropriate details. Book marks were sent as Save the Dates; an old card catalog was used to display guests' escort cards which were fashioned after cards used in old catalogs; tables were named after the Dewey Decimal System (you are seated at table 514: Topology); and guests were sent home with one of several classic books wrapped with an elegant ribbon (think The Gift of the Magi, Pride & Prejudice, and Peter Rabbit). We had more in store for guests than just a kitschy academic ambiance - a gourmet meal from Lucques was served as well! Cucumber mint cocktails paved the way for a four course gastronomic masterpiece. What is the one thing just as delicious as the food? The photos from Michael & Anna Costa of course!
