Style Moderne

We knew this wedding was going to be something to write home about, but were still thrilled to see it featured on The Brides Cafe web blog. Amazing! Our beautiful bride, Dani, looked stunning in a mermaid gown, custom jeweled headpiece, and flirty netted veil. The boys wore skinny ties and fitted suits, while the ladies donned bold yellow dresses and designer shoes. The Skirball Cultural Center provided a perfect blank palette for the wedding's colorful and playfully chic design in black, white, and yellow. The florals incorporated lemons, wheat grass, and structural centerpieces with thick black tassels. The evening evoked just the right elements of modern sentimentality that the bride had hoped for. A Blue, Blue World

What happens when Mint Julep Social Events and Square Root team-up? Magic. Bride Nicole loved our design concept made especially for her: Seaside Elegance meets Romantic Fantasy. Nothing could better describe the end result. A Tiffany blue and white sunset ceremony wowed guests while the custom ring-bearer wagon made them smile. Cocktail hour brought more delights with comfy lounge furniture and a grand Cinderella's Carriage ice luge complete with horse and gold reins. As exciting as the ceremony and cocktail hour were, nothing could have prepared guests for the site they saw as the ballroom doors of Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel opened. The walls were completely draped, floor to ceiling; cool blue lighting lit the room; velvety teal Chameleon chairs and linens created a warm atmosphere; and beautiful white orchids and roses filled the room. Las Vegas Bride

We are so thrilled that our bride, Teresa Strasser, was placed on the cover of Las Vegas Bride this month! A lovely shot of Teresa in her wedding duds playing around in the Real World Suite graces the cover and is really the epitome of the modern Las Vegas bride. While we adore Elvis, and therefore, Elvis Chapels, we really prefer the new lux wedding offerings that Las Vegas has recently become known for.

Spanning Time

The much anticipated photos are in of Julia and Jordan's wedding! Julia's Vera Wang gown was to die for and Jordan looked dashing in a grey suit. To give you an idea of how fun this wedding was, they incorporated a puppet show narrative into their ceremony - totally great! The couple made it known that they didn't want designated wedding "colors," instead they wanted a certain feel to be evoked throughout the night. Their personalities were reflected throughout the night from the mini wheat bales on the cocktail tables, to the childhood crayon box holding wedding wishes, to the boisterous father/daughter dance to Singing in the Rain. When creating the design concept for this wedding, we learned that Buffalo 66 is one of the couple's favs, so we HAD to have a photobooth of some kind. The talented photographers set-up a make-shift red photobooth in the foyer and invited guests to span time, and span they did! Photos by Dennis Viera.
