Alma Mater

When this couple of architects (literally, they are both architects) came to us looking for a unique venue for their ceremony and reception, we didn't have to look too far. After browsing historical buildings from Downtown LA to the Valley and everywhere in between, we asked the bride to tell us more about this venue she kept comparing all others to. Alverno Villa in Sierra Madre was built to resemble a Tuscan villa built by Michaelangelo and housed a wealthy chemist before being used as a convent and all girls academy. The bride's mother graduated from high school at Alverno and even had her senior prom on the property in the late sixties. Bingo! Photos courtesy of Twin Lens Images.

Down to Earth

Where do an actress and her director fiance go to document their engagement? The farmers market of course! This adorable couple spent a day around town with their talented photographer and got some wonderful shots. The photo of their shoes (we love her shoes!) will be placed in frames and set in the powder rooms at the wedding. Fabulous photos by Greg Neil.

Homespun

This delightful engagement session really does hint at the quirky wedding this couple is planning. A wonderful use of an engagement session, Julia and Jordan used their fabulous home as the backdrop for the photo shoot and their cute pups made an appearance as well. Dennis Viera did a marvelous job behind the lens. Look for mesmerizing photos of their eclectic nuptials in the next few weeks!

Riviera - Orange County Wedding Maven

Excitement has filled our Orange County office, as this month's Riviera featured Mint Julep Social Events in their "The Radar Now!" We're honored to be mentioned in what amounts to be not only the hippest, but possibly the most important publication in all of Orange County. The magazine raves about the creatively deft hands Michelle Lynn Buckley brings to her events, naming her the "Mid-Century Maven" of OC. Congratulations, Michelle!
