Moss & Coffee

Sometimes the unexpected go perfectly together and what fun MJSE founder, Michelle Lynn Buckley, had planning this brilliant match-up. This bride had style to spare and gave us great inspiration for her wedding design. Right off the bat, we knew we had to incorporate coffee into the day since she loves her java. We added coffee beans to the votive containers and found the most lovely coffee-flavored truffles as favors. When she told us she envisioned her day as an "eclectic garden, somewhat vintage, but still hip," we clapped our hands (as we tend to do when we get excited) and got to work! Vintage lace was incorporated in the bouquets, the wedding cake, and the escort card boards which were wrapped with sage satin and adorned with a variety of lace and ribbons. Guests entered the reception through a romanticly lit library at the Wilshire Country Club with tables covered in moss, gardenias and pillar candles while a jazz quartet greeted them on the ivy wrapped patio. Lavender-infused champagne was tray passed and guests made themselves comfy in a lovely Craftsman-style ballroom. The gorgeous centerpieces incorporated cabbage leaves and succulents and guests danced the night away to a standards from a live band and strolled along the twinkle-lit terrace. So pretty was this wedding that it was featured in The Bride & Bloom magazine! Congrats, lovebirds! Photos by Amy Squires.
